DJ Fred Cuz

DJ Fred is a Parisian DJ who has started his career mid 90's in Paris when the French electronic music scene first kicked off.

Fred's older brother, Clod, (now a Drummer with La Bazartouka) had an extensive record collection, starting from the JB's to George Clinton, which first captured Fred's musical interest as a young boy. With the help of his younger brother, Alex (also a drummer), they would get 2 decks together & try to copy the scratch from songs such as "Rockit".

He was first influenced by the classic sounds of Funk, Reggae & Hip-Hop music and then in the mid 90's, discovered House Music in the underground scene of Paris. At this time only a few clubs used to play House or Techno Music, and Fred was hooked straight away, frequently hitting the clubs to watch now, Pioneer's of Electronic music, Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, and Sven Väth.

In 1998 Fred moved to London & experimented with a variety of house music including acid house/Techno, hard Techno, breaks & anything funky. This kicked off an explosive career with Fred playing some of Europe'd best underground clubs and supporting a number of the scenes number 1 DJ's including, Benny Bennassi, Mark Dynamic, Daniel Moore from the Crazy Penis, Kosheen, Haydn J, DJ Dexter (The Avalanches), Fabs, Kid Kenobi, Chuck Love, Hook N Sling and Mobin Master to name a few.

Voted #1 in Cairns 2013 and previously 3rd in South Australia (Sony inthemix top50) DMH has a professional career spanning more than 9 years. If you do the maths that’s allot of vodka. This Adelaide native can now be found in the Tropical party destination of Cairns where he holds residencies at some of the nations biggest and best clubs.

The infamous DMH set comprises every dance floor-rocking genre known to man from hip-hop & rnb to house, electro and even classic rock to keep the place pumping to the early hours. However it’s his own mashups and bootlegs that have given DMH the title of The Bootleg King. "I like to make stuff out of other stuff" DMH says. The viral success of many of his bootlegs including his mashup of Need You 100% Animal” which was featured on Australia's number 1 podcast "The Ubercast" and Havana Browns radio show "Party People" Not to mention his bootleg of Throw You're Hands Up - Qwote Ft Pitbull which was supported by Qwote himself. In 2013 DMH got serious with production, having his first original "Surprise Mother Fu#ker" quickly picked up by Los Angeles label Pop Rox and radio airplay across the country. With countless music festivals under his belt including, Future Music and Parklife festivals plus the headline act at the infamous Port Douglas full moon festival’s you can find DMH filling floors and downing Awga's holding down residencies at the hottest clubs in far north Queensland, Gilligans and The Attic plus regular guest spots around Australia.

GhostNotes might be a new name for this artist, but AJ is definitely not new to the world of DJ'ing.

Formerly known as DJ Schmee-J, this veteran of dance music (as his name change might suggest) is always evolving and growing with his hand firmly on the pulse.

DJ, Turntablist, Events Manager, Booking agent, Teacher, Music producer with over 20 years experience in Australia & the UK, he's done it all. From hosting his own radio show on London's World dance FM to supporting some of the biggest names in the industry from Ministry of Sound to Global Underground to Deep Medi and the list goes on, as well as running his own events such as Reload Sydney Bass, InnaCityRiddims & OneUpDjs, booking local and international artists on the bill.

So, how do you describe his style of music? Well, it's hard to define when you witness his ability to seamlessly blend so many different genres from Scratching over underground Hip-Hop or rare Funk & Soul records to 70's Disco classics and funky Breaks. But don't be surprised if GhostNotes is supporting a Drum&Bass, Grime, Reggae, deep dubstep, garage or Deep/Nu Disco/Funky House line up as he seems right at home in almost any musical setting and his music collection is eclectic as it is large.

His main weapon of choice being two Technics turntables and a mixer, but he needs no lesson on Pioneer DJ's, Samplers or most controllers as he not only sells DJ/Audio production at Store DJ in Melbourne, but also offers lessons on how to use them!

If you haven't had the pleasure of discovering GhostNotes yet, you soon will.
